Hacker Pleads Guilty to Breaching Supreme Court, AmeriCorps, and VA Systems

Background
Between August and October 2023, Nicholas Moore repeatedly accessed the Supreme Court's filing system and an AmeriCorps account using stolen credentials. He also used stolen credentials to access a veteran's VA MyHealthEVet account between September 14 and October 14, 2023, and stole private health data, which he posted on his Instagram account.
Hacking the Supreme Court
Moore pleaded guilty to accessing the Supreme Court's electronic filing system at least 25 times and leaking personal data from his victims on his Instagram account, @ihackedthegovernment.
Hacking AmeriCorps and the VA System
In addition to the Supreme Court, Moore also used stolen credentials to access an AmeriCorps account and a veteran's VA MyHealthEVet account, from which he stole private health data and posted it on his Instagram account.
Sentencing and Consequences
Nicholas Moore could serve up to one year in prison and pay a fine of up to $100,000 when he is sentenced by Judge Beryl A. Howell on April 17.
