Aembit Expands Identity Management Capabilities for AI Agents Across Microsoft Copilot Studio Platform

  • Jun 16
  • 2 min read

Key Findings

  • Aembit announced integration with Microsoft Copilot Studio to extend identity and access management capabilities for AI agents

  • Integration addresses critical security gap where agents access sensitive systems with static, broadly scoped credentials and no centralized oversight

  • Platform issues ephemeral credentials scoped to specific tasks rather than persistent standing access

  • Every access decision is logged for compliance review and incident investigation

  • Integration available now to Aembit customers with no required changes to agent builds or enterprise systems

  • Company already supports enterprise AI at scale, including a $300 billion investment firm using Claude deployments

Background

Copilot Studio has made it easy for business teams to deploy AI agents by reducing technical barriers to connecting agents with internal data sources, external APIs, and enterprise systems through Model Context Protocol servers. However, this accessibility has created a significant security problem. Security teams now face agents granted access to sensitive business systems using static credentials with no centralized way to enforce policy or track what happened after incidents occur.

The Security Challenge

When Copilot Studio agents connect to enterprise resources, they typically receive broad, persistent credentials that remain active indefinitely. There's no centralized mechanism for security teams to manage policies across these agents or to investigate what they accessed and when. This structural vulnerability has grown as organizations accelerate their agentic AI deployments, leaving security scrambling to catch up.

How Aembit Solves It

The Aembit platform positions itself between Copilot Studio agents and enterprise resources. It creates a blended identity for each agent by combining context from the human identity provider with the agent's specific identity and access needs. Instead of persistent credentials, Aembit issues ephemeral credentials that expire after the specific task completes. Access decisions are logged with sufficient detail to support compliance reviews and incident investigations.

Proven Track Record

Aembit has already demonstrated success scaling AI securely for enterprises. A $300 billion investment firm deployed AI assistants across its entire analyst and executive workforce, connecting them to financial datasets, email, calendar systems, and sensitive company information. The integration with Copilot Studio extends this proven model to Microsoft's platform without requiring changes to existing agent builds or backend systems.

Availability and Resources

The Copilot Studio integration is available immediately to Aembit customers. The company unveiled the integration at Identiverse 2026 in Las Vegas and demonstrated it at Booth 220. For organizations not attending the conference, Aembit released an interactive Agentic AI Deployment Checklist to help security teams identify gaps in current agent rollouts and prioritize remediation before agents move to production.
